Brittany Baker, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, CNE is the founder of Seeds of Joy, LLC, a wellness and leadership platform grounded in the belief that small, intentional actions can cultivate lasting health, clarity, and growth for individuals, communities, and organizations.
A family nurse practitioner and nurse educator with nearly two decades of experience as a registered nurse and more than 14 years in advanced practice, Dr. Baker has provided care across outpatient primary care, community-based, and acute care settings. Her clinical approach is rooted in relationship-centered, prevention-focused care, with an emphasis on patient education, access, and long-term well-being.
Dr. Baker’s professional work bridges clinical practice, program evaluation, accreditation, and leadership development. She has extensive experience supporting healthcare and academic programs through outcomes assessment, continuous quality improvement, and accreditation processes—including institutional and specialty accreditation in midwifery, nurse anesthesia, and simulation-based education. Her work has supported excellence designations such as NLN Center of Excellence and INASCL Endorsement, and continued accreditation with leading nursing accrediting bodies. Her areas of expertise include program evaluation, accreditation readiness, competency-based assessment, faculty professional development, faculty and student mentorship, and systems-level improvement.
Her scholarly interests and professional service reflect a strong commitment to patient-centered and community-engaged approaches to improving health outcomes. Dr. Baker serves on the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Advisory Panel on Patient Engagement and was selected to participate in Mercy University’s Health Equity Influencers Program, a national initiative focused on advancing equity and inclusion in healthcare and nursing education. Her doctoral quality improvement work, Enhancing Provider Education to Increase HPV Vaccination Rates in Adolescents, highlights her dedication to preventive care and reducing disparities in underserved populations.
In recognition of her leadership, service, and impact across clinical practice, education, and community engagement, Dr. Baker was recognized in the 2026 40 Under 40 Leadership Award cohort by the ECU Alumni Association.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Baker is a wife and mother of two daughters. She values family, reflection, and balance, and believes that sustainable success is cultivated not only through professional excellence, but through presence, connection, and joy in everyday life.
